Biography

Hao Wang has 8 years’ working experience in TV media from 1994 to 2002. After then, he began a PhD study with a topic of Decoding of Meaning: A Morphology Study on Viewing Situation of TV News in Shanghai Families at the School of Journalism, Fudan University, China, and received his Ph.D. degree there in 2005. He once worked as a visiting scholar at Purdue University (U.S.) from 2011 to 2012 and City University of Hong Kong in 2008.

Research Projects and Publications

He has led a project The Present Situation, Influence and Development of Citizen Journalism in China sponsored by National Social Sciences Planning Fund and has successfully completed a SJTU Liberal Arts Research Innovation Project. Besides research activities, he has undertaken several collaboration projects with renowned enterprises related to TV shopping, online shopping, brand promotion and corporate training.
